We are the Champions!

They have done it! My prediction that the Spurs would win the NBA Finals has come true! I knew they would take it all after they beat the Denver Nuggets in Round 1. What a great series! What a big testament to the ability of international basketball players Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili. Tim Duncan was crowned the MVP. Good consistancy by Duncan and Ginobili adds an NBA title to his Olympic Basketball Gold Medal for Argentina. Pray that Piston fans don't riot.

Whats New

Well, I have not blogged in a while and I have been feeling a little guilty about it. Whats new in my life? I have been busy working at Open Door Christian school for 16 hours a week in addition to my duties in the Providence House as a Counselor. The Seventh Day Slumber concert was awesome. Sorry, no pictures, as I forgot to bring my digital camera. It was very nice meeting the band members and chatting with them for a bit. There was only a 100 people there and so the whole place felt very intimate. The band members were offered a good deal by Sony Music, but they had to tone down their lyrics and remove references to Christ. The members had faith that God would see them through for being faithful and therefore refused the offer. You really tend respect band members who stand up for their values and beliefs rather than just go into it for the money.

I had a chance to watch the last Lucas Star Wars movie which really was well done. Episode 3 tied all the lose ends nicely. I watched Batman Begins on IMAX and it was really much better than the previous Batman movies. This movie was a lot more truer to the comic book and more realistic. 2 thumbs way up from me. I bought a big batman poster which I can't decide where to hang in my room. Can't wait to see the Fantastic Four movie. The Flash movie is also due out this year I think. It is good that the culture is focusing on good story telling again. Today, is the last game of the NBA Finals. GO SPURS! It will be exciting.

Check it out

Check out the free song "Different" from the band Acceptance. It is the free download of the week from iTunes. I saw this band in Phoenix, AZ and they really rocked. Plan to see Seventh Day Slumber in concert on June 16th in Fort Collins, CO. Click on the title and read the amazing biography of the lead singer Joseph Rojas of Seventh Day Slumber.
